Loved the house. We had plenty of room and loved the location. Short enjoyable walk to beach access. Loved being in a gated area! There are some things in the house that needs attention. The ice maker did not work. The rails on the front porch need repair before a child or adult gets hurt. The 2 lights going down the stairs were both out. Nothing major but really needs to be fixed!! We had a Great time at Dauphin Island. Would try this rental again!!

We enjoyed our stay at Bama Breeze. This house is older and needs refreshing but is very spacious and comfortable. The views of the Gulf of Mexico are great. Here are some things you may need to know that aren't clear in the listing: 1. The house is in a gated community. You will be given instructions to pick up a gate key card before you arrive. There is only one key card so you will have to coordinate arrivals if you arrive at different times in multiple vehicles as we did. 2. Access to the beach is not right across the street as the listing and photos imply. There is a community board walk down the street for access. It is a couple of hundred yards to the west. 3. You may want to bring ice. The ice maker is broken. It was reported on Monday and not fixed by Friday of our stay.
