First, turn on the gas fireplace and take a seat on your sofa, which offers a lovely view through floor-to-ceiling windows of your wraparound deck and the trees beyond. The adjacent, open-plan kitchen and dining area mean the chef of the group won’t feel left out while preparing meals. There’s a suite of gleaming stainless steel appliances, and a lovely natural-edge dining table, which doubles as prep space. When it’s time to eat, you can enjoy the same lovely view from the table. A washer/dryer and free WiFi round out this home's interior perks. Once you’ve settled in, it's time to explore your surroundings. In the summer, nearby Donner Lake and hiking trails beckon, and in the winter, you’re surrounded by ski slopes. Truckee and Tahoe are a short drive away, and when it's time to return, you can go into full hibernation mode and get cozy. We have stayed here before and we still love this place. They had the Keurig that was basically my lifeline in the morning. I love that they provided the garage clicker for easy access. The remote for shades and fireplace was easy to use. Everything was as clean as our other stay. The kitchen was amazing and had everything. the cups and plates were so nice. The cooking utensils and cookware were all there, including a lid for microwave use which helps the splatter for sure. They even provided hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms! I didn't expect it, but we all greatly appreciate it.
