You're in the foothills of the Cascades at the base of 11,000-foot, volcanic Mount Hood, so you're actually steps from hiking along the ZigZag River and a short drive from skiing the mountainside. There's a handful of restaurant options along the byway in Mt. Hood Village, Rhododendron, and Government Camp, or if you're up for an urban adventure, the city of Portland is 45 miles away.

Loved the rustic charm and location of this cabin. That said, the kitchen floor is unfinished, with sticky fake tiles un-stuck, so you're walking on sticky, dirty particleboard. Otherwise would've been a perfect rental!

We really liked the close driving proximity to the hiking trails. Relaxing in the hot tub afterwards was truly enjoyable.
It is a very rustic cabin and good hiking right out the door and in the surrounding area.
All appliances worked and there was plenty of hot water.
A few flooring issues and it would be helpful to have screens on the windows.

Rustic cabin experience with all the amenities you’ll need. There are neighbors but you still feel private and secluded, surrounded by lush forest. Great water pressure and large hot tub. Beautiful, private trail to zig zag river. WiFi speed sufficient for email/web browsing. (FYI if you’re planning to work remote here, the unsecured network wouldn’t allow me to connect to my work VPN)
