Local tips
A few pointers from our on-the-ground team.
-
Park once then walk
Laneda Avenue is the heart and soul of town. Park once and stroll around. -
Expect spotty reception
Cell service on the beach can be spotty. Part of the charm, part of the planning. -
Visit the beach late morning
Fog often burns off by 11AM in summer. Late-morning beach walks are usually the warmest. -
Build bonfires safely
Beach bonfires are allowed below the high-tide line. Use existing fire rings when possible, and always drench when done. -
Stock up pre-arrival
Manzanita has no big-box stores. Stock up in Tillamook or Seaside before arriving. -
Catch the sunset
Sunset from the Manzanita beach is the townās unofficial daily event. Walk down by 8PM in summer.
