Home in Port St. Joe, Florida

While you’re there

Check out some of our favorite parts of Forgotten Coast. Sourced from our local teams who live there.

Bayside Coffee Co.

The perfect pick-me-up for exploring the Forgotten Coast—this Eastpoint roastery proves good things come in small batches.

Franklin Cafe & Parlor Bar

Southern breakfast done right—biscuits smothered in sausage gravy, bagels piled with smoked salmon, and a setting as inviting as the food.

Indian Pass Raw Bar

A local favorite with a laid-back vibe and fresh Gulf seafood. Grab a drink from the cooler, settle in, and enjoy the kind of easygoing meal where strangers become friends.

Oyster City Brewing Company

Brewing Gulf Coast tales in a glass since 2014, where every beer is shaped by the same waters that shaped this storied town.

FatDaddy's Smokehouse & Grill

Nestled along the coastline of Saint George Sound right off scenic Highway 98, this rustic smokehouse serves up hearty barbecue and Southern hospitality to locals and travelers alike.

Blue Parrot Oceanfront Cafe

What started as a tiny beach stand is now St. George Island's go-to for fresh local seafood—where owner George might be cutting your catch in the kitchen or out on the bay catching tomorrow's special.

Crooked River Grill

A hidden gem serving elevated takes on local shrimp and steaks, seriously generous cocktails, and golf course views that'll have you ordering another round.

Owl Cafe

A downtown Apalachicola institution since 1900, dishing out warm hospitality and Forgotten Coast favorites. Come for the fried oysters, stay for the nostalgia (and definitely the crab dip).

St. Joe Bay Buffer Preserve

A vital preserve for the pine flatwoods, coastal scrub, marsh, and tidal flats that keep St. Joseph Bay pristine—and its famous seagrass beds and marine life thriving.

August 2026

We had a great stay here - property included everything needed for a comfortable stay and was clean. The beach is a bit of a walk, but not too bad at all. Convenient having DG next door and had a wonderful deck to watch the ocean.

Avari response:

We’re so glad to hear you had a great stay, Ryleigh! It sounds like you made the most of the wonderful deck for ocean views, which is one of our favorite spots too. We appreciate your kind words about the cleanliness and comfort of the home. While the beach is a bit of a walk, we’re happy it was manageable for you. Having DG next door is definitely a nice convenience for those quick snacks or essentials. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable getaway soon!

House was great! Has a great view of the ocean to the west. House was very clean. Super convenient right across from the beach and next door to dollar general. Only problem we had was a small leak from the ceiling down stairs above the air hockey table. I think that's why the air hockey table didn't work right. There was no Xbox down stairs but was fine my son brought his PS5. Definitely would come back her for the 4th of July again also close enough to the fireworks in Mexico Beach to watch from the balcony.

Avari response:

Thank you, Jacob, for sharing your experience with us. We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the great ocean view and found the house clean and conveniently located. It sounds like you made the most of your stay, especially with your son’s PS5!

We truly appreciate you bringing the leak to our attention. That shouldn’t have happened, and we’re on it to ensure everything is in perfect shape for future guests. We’re glad to hear you’re considering returning for the 4th of July; watching fireworks from the balcony sounds like a fantastic plan. We’d love to welcome you back for another memorable stay!

House was perfect for my family beach vacation. Short walk to beach and host was very responsive. Conveniently located by the Dollar General. Check-in code on the door was the only confusion/ difficulty of the week, but it worked out! Definitely recommend.
