July 2026

The house was perfect for our family. The fenced in backyard was a HUGE plus!! The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils and pans you will need for making meals during your stay. I loved that it was on the less populated end of the island. It was just a quick trip to the State Park, which is great for shell hunting first thing in the morning. The screen porch is awesome! Our son (23) took lots of mid afternoon naps in the hammock when we came in from the beach and it was a great place to hang out in the evenings. The fenced back yard is huge! Plenty of room for the dog to run around and get her energy out. I loved all of the gate access and the ā€œhiddenā€ staircase off of the porch was a great bonus. The beach is a 15 minute walk to the nearest public beach access. We rented a couple of bikes and took the gear in the truck and dropped it off, then rode the bike back to the beach. Worked out really well for us. We have always loved coming to St. George. It has never been crowded and this time was no exception, even the week of July 4th. Our only complaint is that now we live 12 hours away, but it’s worth the drive. Sunset at Joe’s was the perfect getaway! Thank you for an unforgettable vacation

Avari response:

Thank you, Kristin, for sharing such a wonderful review of your stay with us! We’re thrilled to hear that the house was perfect for your family and that you enjoyed the spacious fenced backyard. It sounds like your son made great use of the hammock on the screen porch, and we love that you found the location to be just right for your beach adventures and shell hunting.

We take pride in ensuring our kitchens are well stocked, so it’s great to know you had everything you needed to prepare meals. The access to the beach and the peacefulness of the less populated end of the island truly make for a relaxing getaway, especially during the busy July 4th week.

We understand the long drive can be a challenge, but we’re so glad it was worth it for you. We’d love to welcome you back anytime for another unforgettable vacation. Safe travels until then!

The last day of our stay the hot water went out. I started calling in the morning and they didn’t get it fixed. We had to go home not having had a shower after a day on the beach. They suggested we go to a local hotel and they would reimburse us or go to another property, but I had my elderly mother with me and to pack up all our things and go somewhere else for the night was more than we could do and she is unable to climb stairs so going to another property was not an option. I spent the entire last day of my vacation making phone calls trying to get them to fix the water heater which never happened. Then they said they would give us a refund for the trouble and the offered us $40. REALLY????
