Located in a quiet neighborhood about seven miles from the shores of Lake Tahoe and eight miles from Heavenly Mountain Resort, you'll have fun at your fingertips no matter what time of year you visit. Play a round of golf at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course before exploring the trails near Echo Peak. Do a little fishing on the rivers or rent a boat to get out on the water. In the winter, you can shred the fresh powder at Heavenly or do some sledding right out in the big backyard.

Kick off the snow from slopes or the dirt from the trails and get warm next to the gas fireplace. Fire up the gas grill while you check the forecast with the free WiFi.

The fully equipped kitchen features all the appliances you need to prepare a meal for your group.

Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home.

Great place in Tahoe close to the town but away from the crowds

The place is okay, but the water heater did not function after a day of skiing, so my wife and son and I could not enjoy the huge soaking tub or even take a shower, and the bathroom was the main draw to us to the place.

I wasted time troubleshooting but found this type of instant water heater fault required internal cleaning, then called the Avari hotline and was told someone might reach out to me, but did not receive further communication, and anyway with a little one I could not just wait hours to hope for a bath at 10pm.

After asking, and a multi day "review by the management team", I was offered a $20 refund for my trouble.

These guys are a joke, and I would never choose to stay at a property of theirs in the future.

I would also add that the heating is unusual, and without any changes to the thermostat setting the temperature would drop from rather warm at night to cold in the morning, with the furnace refusing to come on. There could be user error here though.

We loved the house and it was situated near a beautiful meadow with river crossings and the Tahoe Paradise Park. We were snowed in for 3 days and though we were bummed we couldn't ski, it was nice to go snowshoeing by the house and also enjoy down time at the cozy house.

We loved the house! Watching Winter Olympics on the spacious sofa after a ski trips to the lakes is now in our family best winter memories collection 😊 We will definitely come back!
