In the summer, hiking trails abound in the Donner Lake area, as well as public beach access at both West End Beach, a gorgeous 10-acre beach park (a nominal entrance fee is required) and the Memorial State Park. On the north side of the lake, you'll also find public boat docks. Multiple ski resorts are in close driving distance for any skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and convenient. We skied Sugar Bowl which was less than a 20 minute drive away. The pots and pans in the kitchen really need to be replaced. Or bring your own cooking gear. We wish we would have. Other than that, great place. Clean house with garage parking. Easy booking and check in.

I was really delighted when I saw how clean the unit was. Most places have hidden layers of dust, not the Dolomite Delight. Even behind the headboard of the master room, it was clean as a whistle - not a spec of dust. This theme carried throughout the house. Kitchen, clean. Bathroom, clean. Living areas, clean. My kids really enjoyed the toys, it kept them busy for hours. I really liked the easy access to the snow out back with the gate in the balcony. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements. We didn’t have a single complaint.

Three adults and two children ages 10 and 13 stayed for two nights. The condo was super clean, and Vacasa made checking in and out very easy. The staff that came to make a few repairs during our stay were friendly and professional. There were some not so great things: the sofa bed in the master bedroom was unusable because it had a very wobbly leg and would have crashed if somebody had tried to sleep there. Thank goodness, we found a trundle bed under the bunkbeds, so we all found a place to sleep. The main bed in the master bedroom also had a crooked leg, but it held up. We could’ve used a few more dishes, especially cups, and cooking utensils. What we really missed was a sponge or a cloth to do dishwashing, or counter wiping. We tried to wash dishes, but it’s tough to do without such supplies. Other than that, the condo worked well for us, and we would definitely recommend Vacasa as the managing agency.
