Overview

Enjoy the very best of old and new at this McKenzie Bridge home, a beautifully restored log cabin with a classic front porch, a sparkling interior, and a wonderful woodland location for exploring the nearby river, hot springs, and hiking trails. Originally built in 1909 and lovingly restored in 2016, the cabin's interior makes thoughtful use of natural wood, exposed brick, and pristine white walls. Prepare meals for a crowd with ease in the full kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), abundant cabinetry and counter space, and a large eat-in dining room table. Pass the morning hours outside on the porch, where you can read the newspaper in a rocking chair or use the free WiFi to plan your next hike. Grab your rods and tackle to spend the day fishing for rainbow trout or Chinook salmon; you'll come home to a private washer/dryer for your clothes, a pellet stove to warm your toes, and a flatscreen TV for movie nights in the plush living room.

The house was exactly as the pictures. In our party there were four adult women and found the place very peaceful with beautiful rustic surroundings. We would return for more hiking and amazing views in the surrounding area.

Surrounded by a beautiful, green forest. The renovated cabin was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Being close to the highway there was lots of road noise out on the front deck. Air conditioning was a plus.

We brought our high school-aged Girl Scout troop. There was lots of room in the big kitchen for them to cook together. There was space upstairs for them to sleep with a place downstairs for the leaders. There was even enough space for the one girl who needs her space to get it.

Avari response:

Thank you, Marcia, for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear that the spacious kitchen was perfect for your Girl Scout troop to cook together and bond. It’s wonderful that the layout of the home provided everyone with their own space, especially for the girl who needed a little extra room. We strive to create environments that cater to the unique needs of our guests, and it sounds like we hit the mark for your group. We would love to welcome you all back for another memorable stay in McKenzie Bridge!
