THINGS TO KNOW City of South Lake Tahoe Short Term Rental Ordinances Violation of ordinances can result in fines up to $1500: a. The maximum occupancy of this property at all times, 24 hours a day, is 8 persons. Up to 2 children aged 13 and under do not count towards this occupancy limit. b. Weddings, receptions, and commercial events are prohibited. c. No use of outdoor spas or hot tubs is allowed after 10pm or before 8am. d. No outdoor amplified music, speakers, or other noise-generating equipment is allowed after 10pm or before 8am. e. Parking is prohibited on unpaved surfaces or on neighboring private property without permission. Parking is allowed only on paved surfaces. f. Parking of commercial vehicles on the property is prohibited, except temporarily for durations of less than 4 hours. g. Camping and sleeping in tents, travel trailers, campers, or recreational vehicles is prohibited at the property. h. Trash and recycling shall not be left or stored outside except in a container (trash can) within a bear box or in an animal-resistant cart provided for use by South Tahoe Refuse.

This home was decent size for us and having the garage to park in and store skis was great. It is not within reasonable walking distance to the gondola (15-20 min) so, we drove to the Lakeview Lodge Tram parking lot, ~5min away. The house had plenty of room for the four of us on our guys ski trip, you may feel crowded with any more than that. The kitchen was small and just okay and had none of the basic cooking supplies any other AirBnB I've ever rented (more than 20) has had, as in; no salt, pepper, cooking oil, coffee, coffee filters, basic condiments, etc... There is no hot tub on site even though there were strict rule as to the use of the hot tub provided at check-in. There were also strict rules about quite hours after 10pm even though a neighbor women would periodically start screaming random obscenities between 11pm and 4am so, I wore ear plugs after a couple nights of that nonsense...hopefully she gets some help.
