While the location and overall stay had positives, the listing photos did not accurately reflect the unit’s current condition. The property also appeared to need a more thorough cleaning upon arrival. I notified the host during the stay and provided photos regarding the cleanliness concerns.

There were also multiple instances of conflicting information between Airbnb messages, check-in/check-out instructions within the app, and directions provided on-site. This created unnecessary confusion during the stay and made the process less straightforward than expected.

My biggest concern was the repeated requests to upload our identification through a third-party website outside of Airbnb. I expressed that this appeared inconsistent with Airbnb’s stated policies, but the requests continued. This created an uncomfortable experience and detracted from our overall confidence during the stay.

I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the experience for future guests.

Charming property that is showing its age a little (kitchen, fridge etc look to be from the seventies).

Please be aware that the property has neither a washing machine nor a dishwasher, which was not obvious to us from the listing.

This cabin is in a great location, less than 20 minutes from both Soda Springs and Boreal ski resorts. The house has two floors, with one bedroom downstairs and the rest of the beds upstairs. Overall, it’s a nice place, but the heating is a big issue. The second floor was freezing. We booked three nights but couldn’t tough it out and left after two because the whole family was miserable and sniffling from the cold. The heating system automatically shuts off at 50°F every afternoon and early morning, and it’s impossible to keep the place warm. Also, we couldn’t find a dishwasher. If the owner upgraded the heating system, this place would be perfect.
