What's nearby: Ever since Peter Sickler started the first ski run on Multorpor Mountain back in 1928, skiing has grown in Government Camp, and nowadays you can choose from world-class slopes at the Summit Ski Area, Timberline Lodge, SkiBowl, and Mt. Hood Meadows, all within a dozen miles of this rental. Hike the many forested trails that wind throughout the Government Camp area. Visit the Sandy River for fishing, kayaking, and rafting. Or just stroll into town for delicious local restaurants and unique shops. The location couldn’t be beat. It was walking distance to everything in Government Camp, and very close to Timberline. It was spacious and met our needs.

We loved the quirkiness of the house! Literally old school all the way. This is a very unique home that will appeal to the adventuresome souls. It will not appeal to those looking for “sanitized” monochrome decorating pallets and granite countertops. The bedrooms on the top floor and bathrooms on the bottom will be challenging for some, especially with the steep narrow stairs, but a little ingenuity will make it all work out. We left our luggage downstairs minimizing the lugging of luggage. We loved the quirky decorating style which looked to be frozen in time somewhere in the 70s or 80s. The modern amenities included WiFi and tv. Everything else was old school cool! Rent this place and enjoy its unique flair. You won’t regret it, but make sure you read the entire posting so you’ll be ready for a great adventure!
