Hand-built by a local artist and mountaineer, this three-bedroom retreat captures the spirit of Wy'east with custom art, furnishings, and metalwork accents, creating a beautiful Timberline Lodge-like aesthetic. The home also boasts prime convenience, with cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails accessible right out the front door and a short, two-block walk to shopping, bars, and dining in Government Camp.

A true gem of local craftsmanship, the home comes fully furnished from top to bottom with rustic-inspired comfort and all the modern amenities equipped for family comfort. The kitchen features cool cement counters and a full suite of appliances for handling home cooking with ease. The open living area sets the stage for group gatherings with sofas and an eight-seater dining table anchored by an impressive wood-burning fireplace. A cozy upstairs nook features a living area with a TV and assortment of books, plus a semi-private office space equipped for remote working with a dedicated desk and drafting table. Really nice fireplace, really creative, interior design, powerful, exhaust fans in bathrooms and kitchen, cool furniture, nice deck outside, beautiful windows, lots of nice trees, all around, lots of cool books. Cool tiled kitchen sink. Somebody has done a lot of work on this house. Highly recommend.

The cabin itself is beaitiful and spacious.

Avari on the other hand...
They tried to make me reverify myself on their client portal outside of airbnb even though I am fully verified on here. I tried to upload my license and the portal wouldn't work. Avari then tells me to use a different browser even though i sent them screenshots of the error and my license. The glitchy client portal had nothing to do with browser type and it took 3 days to have avari understand and not require that I get reverified.

Check in was also difficult. There are 3 lockboxes on the door and no clear instructions. When I tried to contact Avari I was on a long hold. Luckily my husband figured it out but it was an annoying and stressful experience because it was chilly outside and I had 2 young kids with me.

Outside of that we enjoyed the cabin.

We loved the location and the spacious home, really comfortable, obviously a well loved family home. Lots of games, lots of dishes and serving platters, lovely big dining table. Needs outdoor furniture and the beds are old, but lovely experience
