7th-floor, bright Gulf-front condo with views - close to entertainment

I’ve stayed at Island Echo’s several times and in this particular unit, 7E the last few times I’ve been here. I like 7E because the unit is nicely appointed, has a king bed, is on the top floor of the complex, and it has a spectacular view of the Gulf. You can actually see the Gulf while sitting in Living Room, without even having to go outside on the balcony. You have easy access to the beach and Fort Walton is generally a little more laid back and relaxed as opposed to nearby Destin. We did have a problem with one of the blinds in the bedroom, but we were barely off the phone with Vacasa to report it when there was someone knocking at the door to fix it. So, Overall, we had another good relaxing stay, but there were a few hiccups. I spotted, and killed 4 roaches in the bedroom, one was actually crawling up the mattress at the foot of the bed! And speaking of the mattress, it’s past time for a replacement. In addition to being hard and uncomfortable, it’s sagging in the middle. So, you start out on one side and gravity ends up rolling you to the middle! On our last day there, an alarm clock went of the unit next door, 7D (apparently no one was there) at 6:00am, and continued unabated. In the age of the smart phone, I didn’t know people were still using alarm clocks to wake up! What a way to begin a long, full day of traveling. Maybe add checking that any alarm clocks are set to off to the cleaning crews to do list? Vacasa has always been responsive in the past, so I trust that these issues will addressed immediately.
