This older spacious four-bedroom home is truly one of the best lots on the island, as it has direct views of the Gulf of America and the Audubon Sanctuary! You can relax in paradise enjoying the beautiful views from the large, wrap-around porch while reading a book or sipping on a tasty cocktail. This dog-friendly home features direct access to the beach by a lovely sand trail. The custom artwork throughout the home was hand-painted by our talented local artists and bring a lot of personality to this beach house! You can also enjoy lounging on the beach, just steps out your back door. There is a private gas grill you can use to treat your family to a tasty cookout while the sun sets. What's nearby: The Crab Shack is located in the gated subdivision of Audubon Place directly on the beaches of Dauphin Island. You will have great views of the Audubon Sanctuary, and if you would like to visit, it's less than one mile away. Don't forget to stop by the historic Fort Gaines and check out the fortress with an original cannon, a museum, and tours led by guides in period uniforms. You are also within five miles of many great local restaurants with a variety of flavors! We LOVED being by the bird sanctuary, we were basically the only ones on the beach! We had a private beach access for the first few days but they started planting grass during our stay so had to use neighbors beach access for the remainder of trip. AC gave us some trouble on the second day but they sent someone out to fix it quickly! We will be back!!
