We had a great vacation at Dauphin Island. We rented both sides of the duplex because there was 22 of us. We had plenty of room , but i do wish there was a pass through door between the sides for large groups to rent both sides and be able to go back and forth without going downstairs and then upstairs on the other side. Aside from that, the stay was relaxing and peaceful.

This was a great spot for my family of 15. As a reminder, this is a true duplex though. There is no connection point between the two units at all, and the only communal area between the two units is down the stairs at the pool. You must go upstairs to use the bathroom or get anything you need, so plan for coolers and lots of hands to help bring down items from the units themselves. Also the king beds are upstairs connected with the bunk bed by a jack-and-jill bathroom.

Fantastic location, close to Yellowhammer Coffee (local coffee shop in Mobile), close to restaurants, close to beaches; although I do recommend renting a golf cart because the middle beach access (closest access to units) is a hefty sand walk to the water. Get a golf cart and ride down to either side of the island for an easier sand walk.

Place was perfect for what we needed. Pool was great. Units are brand new seems like. Just be prepared to get your stairs in and spend a lot of time by the pool with your family!
