Welcome to this beautiful condo in Oregon's best-kept secret among outdoor enthusiasts: Government Camp. In the shadow of Mt. Hood, the green scenery and lush trees can't be beaten. Hike nature trails and mountain bike along the rivers in the summer, and take in some fabulous powder to ski and snowboard on in the winter. Take advantage of the close proximity to Government Camp by walking into town to explore local eateries, arts, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Inside you'll find a bright interior with lots of natural light, modern decor, and an air of welcoming throughout. Enjoy watching movies on the large wall-mounted TV, playing board games at the dining table next to the fireplace, or preparing grand meals in the full kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances. The main bedroom is immaculate, comfortable, and has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Kids will love bunking down together in their own personal space with bunk beds, comfortable furniture, vaulted ceilings, and a wall-mounted TV. (Please note that the top row of bunks is not for guest use.) At the end of the day, take a load off by sitting on the private balcony with a glass of wine, admiring the sunset, and watching the stars come out to dot the sky.

We arrived after dark, and had trouble finding the location as there is no address or signage visible from the road. There are also multiple buildings, and no clear instructions to find Building 3. Those who have mobility issues should know that there are 20 steps to navigate before entering the unit. Once we got in however, we were pleased at the condition. It was clean, had a sturdy dining room set (which is where we tend to gather), and had everything we needed. The unit was cold, and it took a while to heat up after we adjusted the thermostat. I sent a message about the lack of heat, and received a quick response, which was followed up by a phone call the next day. I would recommend this unit to anyone without a mobility issue.

Easy access once you know where you’re going. You might not have mobile service when you arrive so download an offline map in case. Plenty of space and while there was some road noise from the highway as noted in other reviews, it was mild. You do have 4 small sets of stairs to access the unit so be prepared.

Government Camp was ideally situated for our trip and I would stay here again. Easy 25-minute access to Clackamas and a reasonable 45-minute drive to Hood River for abundant dining options.

The central location to Mt Hood, Trillium and Mirror Lake.

So much room. We had 6 people in our group and never had a problem with space.

My kids loved the bunk bed room! We loved staying here as it was very convenient to walk to restaurants, only downside is the noise at night as it backs up to the highway. If you’re a light sleeper then we suggest bringing ear plugs.
