This was our first time in Oregon and we loved our stay in Government camp! The cabin was rustic but in very good shape, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and kitchen. The working fireplace was a very nice plus!We weren’t expecting the property to be quite so rural, it was a ways down an unpaved road off a highway - would recommend 4WD especially if there is any chance of weather (it was 15deg cooler at altitude than down the mountain in Hood River) but may have been on us for not understanding the layout of the Government Camp area better.Overall would definitely recommend if you want a very private getaway way out in the woods!

Overall, I enjoyed our stay. But, there were a few things to note:
First and most important, the couch is terribly uncomfortable. If you're here to have a relaxing weekend of chilling inside by the fire, take this into account. It's a very slim futon with no arm rests.
There were also some minor cleanliness issues.

The good: it's a gorgeous cabin, very little tech (no TV), peaceful location near the creek, nice bedrooms, good sized dining table.

I hope they get a better couch for future guests!

This place is a very cute cabin, near a creek surrounded by forrest. The access roads are full of potholes, but we got in and out of there safely in a Subaru Legacy. There is a secondary gravel road that takes you to Trillium Lake that is even worse, but google maps recommends it. The cabin has no Wifi. But if you are looking for a remote, beautiful and peaceful location, this cabin is for you! The water turned brackish while we were there. Luckily we had a water filter for hiking. The management company said they would replace the water filter after we left, not sure if they did.

The cabin was lovely, the place was fairly clean, and the kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, pans, and cooking tools. The only hitch was that the management company kept trying to get me to enter my information into a third party website (which is against Airbnb's rules). When I said I didn't want to put my info into the extra website and added the wording of the Airbnb rules, it took them three days to say that I could move forward with the reservation. I was then sent three more messages trying to get me to put my info into the 3rd party website.
