Home in Florence, Oregon

While you’re there

Check out some of our favorite parts of Florence. Sourced from our local teams who live there.

Waterfront Depot

Urbane riverside bistro. Florence’s most celebrated dinner. Crab-crusted halibut and a historic depot building with Siuslaw River views.

Mo's Seafood & Chowder

Waterfront staple in Old Town. Have a plate of cod fish and chips or bowl of chowder as you watch fishing boats pass and sea lions play.

Nosh Eatery

Creative, chef-driven menu with rotating seasonal dishes. The town’s more adventurous dinner pick. Has vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free options.

1285 Restobar

Quaint trattoria with all-Italian fare that has something for everyone. The perfect mix of sophistication and warm family-friendly atmosphere.

Coffee Roasters of Florence

“The best roast on the coast.” Locally owned roastery with excellent espresso and a cozy Old Town location.

Little Brown Hen Café

Local favorite. Small, friendly, and always busy. Biscuits and gravy are the must-order.

Homegrown Public House

Farm-to-table brewpub in a hip, industrial space with great beer and a vibrant dinner scene.

Krab Kettle

Modest, small, family-owned seafood shack serving fresh-caught crab and fish and chips right on the Old Town boardwalk.

Heceta Head Lighthouse

One of the most photographed lighthouses on the West Coast. Trail access leads to the iconic light station itself.

For what we paid, it was OK, nothing fancy and very basic!

The property was an old town, Florence and close to the dunes and the main drag, which is what we were looking for.

The living room could have definitely used extra seating, did not like the immense amount of cobwebs by the front door light and the entry outside. Both bedroom blinds and kitchen blinds need to be repaired and the bathroom has several repairs that need to be taken care of towel rack being the main concern! The advertisement showed a balcony with a view, and we ended up with a unit that had no balcony and no view, so the ad was very misleading.

Avari response:

We appreciate your feedback, Tamara, and we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the location of our condo in Florence, especially its proximity to the dunes and downtown. It sounds like you were looking for a cozy spot to explore the area, and we’re happy that part of your stay met your expectations.

We genuinely apologize for the issues you encountered during your visit. The cobwebs and the condition of the blinds and towel rack are certainly not reflective of the standards we strive to maintain. Your comments are invaluable, and we will address these concerns with our team to ensure a more comfortable experience for future guests.

Regarding the balcony and view, we understand how important these details are when choosing a place to stay. We will review our listing to ensure it accurately represents the unit. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance to provide you with a more enjoyable stay in the future.

This was a good place, very clean, comfortable beds, and the location was great for walking around the shops.
There was not a lot of furniture in the living space, especially for 4 adults. One small sofa and a small table with 2 benches - made it a little difficult to watch a movie or play a game.

Perfect location. Ask what floor your unit is on before booking.

The location: You can get any closer to the best part of Florence.

Unit 5 is on the second floor but this wasn't mentioned.. when we arrived, I burst into tears because my husband is disabled and would never have been able to get up the stairs. The company called the property owner who was very gracious.

Clean comfortable space in a good location. Door code instructions said to push a button before entering the code which was wrong. Just enter the code and you should be able to get in no problems.
