Overview
This quintessential one-bedroom Yachats vacation rental is sure to enchant its guests with a picture-perfect getaway to the Oregon Coast. Nestled in a secluded woodland area and only steps away from infinite ocean waves, this darling cottage is ideal for a romantic excursion or relaxing solo retreat.
This endearing home embodies Yachats' affectionate nickname, the 'Gem of the Oregon Coast.' Explore the beautiful, uncrowded beach only 75 yards from the front door, or journey three and a half miles south to downtown where you'll find restaurants, the Green Salmon Coffee House and a handful of galleries to browse. Further south is the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area where you can stare out over an 800-foot viewpoint at rugged coastline. Newport is about 20 miles north with all the assets of a larger city and the renowned Oregon Coast Aquarium!
Tucked among trees, you will be charmed by this cottage's gingerbread house exterior with wooden siding and red trim. Once you step inside, you will feel right at home in its cozy interior filled with comfortable furnishings and cheerful decor.
The living room is a snug place to relax after an exhausting day of exploring the coast, and there's a comfy spot for everyone with two plush recliners and a sofa. Settle down in front of the TV for a movie night. A DVD/Blu-ray player and cable are included, plus you can use the Smart TV to log into your personal Netflix account. There is also an assortment of board games, so during stormy evenings spread out on the rug for endless entertainment or use the wireless Internet access to catch up on your email.
The living room opens into the kitchenette that features all the major appliances and cooking utensils (including Calphalon cookware) that you require to satisfy your culinary needs. A refrigerator, stovetop/oven, and microwave are at hand for mixing ingredients and preparing delicious cuisine. A coffee grinder and coffee maker are included for brewing delicious cups of your favorite morning beverage. A cute wooden dining table provides the perfect space to share meals and although there isn't a dishwasher, you can always let the mess soak while you enjoy a sunset from the back deck.
When the sun is shining, plan a picnic-style lunch on the back deck. It's a perfect nook for relishing a few chapters of your favorite book, or writing reflections in a journal. Pick up fresh seafood while you're in town and bring it back to prepare on the grill. There's even an outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores for dessert. When you're in the mood to dine elsewhere, The Drift Inn is a favored spot with a tasty menu and live music most evenings.
THINGS TO KNOW
This cozy unit does not have a door between the bedroom and the common area.
Dogs are also welcome (50 lb weight limit, a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply).

Exactly what I was hoping for, will absolutely be staying again.
- It was very clean and comfortable.
- The beach access was closer and easier than I expected it would be.
- The place was decorated beautifully, it is so cute.
- It strikes a balance of feeling secluded, while really having others nearby, which was perfect for me as a solo stay.
- The road noise is noticeable.

Private and comfortable and in a great location for reaching north and south activities.
Close to Yachats, comfortable recliners, large and fluffy towels, fire pit in back, short walk to beach access - steep but steps provided. Some walking over medium-sized rocks but not an issue.
No information on the wifi. A laminated note on the refrigerator door identified the personal contact for issues. Her phone and email were provided. However, she did not respond to either method. Further, there was a contact phone for Guest Services, indicating it was available 24/7, but the phone number had been disconnected so was of no use. The following morning, we found a new phone number in the texts from Vacasa. They called back and provided the wifi info. The laminated card should be updated with current info, and the wifi info added.
