This dog-friendly, bayfront home comes with wonderful views, a dock with a boat slip, and a fantastic sleeper porch with a wet bar. You'll have a well-equipped kitchen for easy meal preparation, plenty of seating at the dining table, and a great deck with a grill for family barbecues! What's nearby: This bayfront home sits at the end of its street on Dauphin Island, within sight of passing dolphins and pelicans. You can fish off the dock just a few feet away, observe nesting birds at the Audubon Bird Sanctuary four miles east, or tee off at the Isle Dauphine Golf Club two miles east. My husband and I loved this location. The home has a retro vibe and the mid-century modern furnishings fit the property nicely. It was quiet and had all that we needed. This would be an excellent rental for large family gatherings as the den area was separated and created a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the water. We learned that this home was built in the 50’s and it has an authentic retro look that was very welcoming for a low key Dauphin Island weekend.

Loved being on the island great place for family beaches are not crowded. Great place to ride jet skis, or fish lots of good restaurants.

The place worked out well for a trip with our small dog . Furniture and such could be updated but I realize a dog friendly rental might not want to upgrade since pets are allowed. The porch bay was all fenced and very nice. I might perhaps put a closet in the garage for the owners things but otherwise nothing else needed in the garage. The place was good for us to bring our dog . The washer and dryer worked fine for us . Overall , I’m satisfied. Note however that had I not brought my dog I would have opted for a more updated place.
