If I had to sum up our visit, I would simply say that we got what we paid for. The listing itself was noticeably lower than those in the surrounding area. The house was very spacious and well laid out. Unfortunately, upon arrival it became evident that the interior was in need of significant maintenance with many curtain rods falling out of the wall, chips out of the wall, scratches on the floor, carpet folding up and a noticeable wet smell throughout. I spent the first 30 minutes of my vacation documenting all of the immediately noticeable issues so that we wouldn’t be accused of causing damage to their credit when I sent the photos to the management group. They responded the next day and shared that they would be contacting their maintenance team.

We really wanted this stay to work. The home is well set up, comfortable, and in a great location—an easy walk to the beach, and Manzanita has great restaurants all within 10 minutes.

That said, the upstairs had a strong mold and mildew smell, enough that we chose to leave a night early. The carpet in the master bedroom walkway to the bathroom had stains and buckling, which made us wonder about past water damage.

Communication was quick, but no one followed up on the mildew issue despite multiple messages. We paid over $280 per night and received a $100 refund.

A small suggestion—the entry could really use a coat rack or hooks.

We also accidentally left a garlic press in the dishwasher and even sent a FedEx label, but it hasn’t made its way back after a couple of weeks.

Overall, it’s a great spot, but If you’re sensitive to mold, it’s probably worth double-checking that this has been taken care of before booking.

The house was great and if the location were just a bit better we would have given it 5 stars. Great house, kitchen and main room. Bedrooms were all comfortable.

We love the that the home was in a little nook so it was safe for kids to play outside. The beach is only about a block and a field away. We absolutely loved being here and definitely will be coming back. Everything was tidy and clean. Owners decorated the place made to feel very cozy and a sea breeze vibe. It was all perfect!!!
