Whether you're planning to whale-watch, storm-watch, or spend a sparkling summer on the beach, this oceanfront home in beautiful Yachats will provide you with a front-row seat. You'll be less than three miles north of town, with only a grassy lawn separating you from the sand and ocean waves.

Upon entering this single-level home, you'll be greeted by both carpet and tile floors, natural wood adorning the walls and ceilings, and a wall of picture windows framing the Pacific Ocean. The oceanfront living room and dining room are warmed by a fireplace, with the living room offering soft sofas and recliners where you can read, watch TV, and admire incredible sunset views. The kitchen is outfitted with every essential appliance, and the adjacent sheltered patio features a gas grill, outdoor seating, and a brick firepit where you can roast marshmallows at dusk. When it's time to turn in, you'll find two bedrooms - including an oceanfront suite - in the main part of the house, a half-bathroom, and the washer/dryer right across the breezeway.

Great beach spot just outside of Yachats! Loved the sheltered fire pit and big windows. Cozy recliners! Binoculars on site were a hit. King bed was firm and comfy, queen dips a bit in the middle but was ok. We appreciated the attention to detail with the toiletries and the house was very clean when we arrived!

The location is nicely centralized for daytrips up and down the coast. I found the driveway turnoff pretty easy to miss off the highway. Door entry was a bit wonky and the 10-digit code was far too long to try and remember for quick reentry. Beach access is just off the backyard but not the easiest descent to the beach, albeit only a few steps down an eroding uneven bank. It seems like it could be improved with some steps or a railing of some sort. The home does have a rather unpleasant musty smell, a lot like it used to be the home of smokers and that odor is just embedded into the wood walls/ceiling. It was tolerable but disappointing and could be a huge deterent for those with sensitive noses. The primary bedroom bed is big but not especially comfortable to me personally and my partner especially felt sore every morning. Place was pretty clean though with sufficient amenities and features. I probably wouldn't go back to this house just because of the smell inside.

The fantatstic view out large windows is a miles-long semi-private sandy beach accessed by crossing the big communal lawn shared by only one other home. One of the finest locations in Yachats!
