Overview

Whether you're planning to whale-watch, storm-watch, or spend a sparkling summer on the beach, this oceanfront home in beautiful Yachats will provide you with a front-row seat. You'll be less than three miles north of town, with only a grassy lawn separating you from the sand and ocean waves.

Upon entering this single-level home, you'll be greeted by both carpet and tile floors, natural wood adorning the walls and ceilings, and a wall of picture windows framing the Pacific Ocean. The oceanfront living room and dining room are warmed by a fireplace, with the living room offering soft sofas and recliners where you can read, watch TV, and admire incredible sunset views. The kitchen is outfitted with every essential appliance, and the adjacent sheltered patio features a gas grill, outdoor seating, and a brick firepit where you can roast marshmallows at dusk. When it's time to turn in, you'll find two bedrooms - including an oceanfront suite - in the main part of the house, a half-bathroom, and the washer/dryer right across the breezeway.

This is a lovely home with a nice open layout, and a spectacular view. We loved the easy proximity to the beach and the ample seating area in the living space with all the big windows looking out to the ocean. The house was well stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals, and we appreciated the attention to detail in the kitchen.
The main bedroom is nice and spacious, but does have a slight musty smell. It wasn’t too noticeable, though.
We were unable to use the gas fireplace because there was no remote for it, but if that can be located, I think it would make a very cozy cottage for those cooler nights.

Gorgeous ocean views and the beach is 40 yards away. The inside was very attractive and the kitchen had everyting we needed. This corporation is in FL and the property is in OR. So they do not have good local knowledge. I asked to speak to the property manager and was told I could not call her that it was against company policy. It took several hours before the property manager called us, but she said she called as soon as she heard we wanted to talk. Chastity was great and came over and answered our questions and did some cleaning. She posted her phone number on the refrigerator which we did not see. So the problem was with the corporate firewall and not the property manager. I would not use an Avari property again.

Amazing beachside location that was ideal for a family with a couple kids that wanted to play in the sand. Very close to Yachats as well. Guests booking stay here should expect a pretty dusty/sandy interior (perhaps that's inevitable due to the location and very find sand), and should bring their own pillows.
