In addition to the water views, an abundance of wildlife will accompany you on this vacation, so bring your own binoculars (BYOB) and look closely! You may see seals, bald eagles (varying ages) in trees, osprey, herons, seagulls, cormorants, vultures, and pigeon guillemots. After fun days of exploring the local shops in town or walking along the sand nearby, kick back in the living room as the chef of the group whips up something tasty in the full kitchen. While you’re there

Check out some of our favorite parts of Waldport. Sourced from our local teams who live there.

SkōSH

A tiny gourmet burger shop with a large cult following. The Tidewater burger and waffle fries are legendary.

Hilltop Cafe-Bistro

Enjoy a diverse lunch and dinner menu at the town’s most quaint sit-down spot. The clam chowder and ahi wraps are crowned favorites.

Salty Dawg Bar & Grill

A casual, waterfront Marina-side tavern with excellent fish and chips, fresh calamari, and all the local charm.

Flounder Inn Tavern

An old-school tavern with broasted chicken and cold beers, where you’re sure to find characters at the bar.

Pacific Sourdough Bakery

Down the road in Waldport is this tiny sourdough-focused bakery with spectacular loaves and pastries.

Shrimp Daddy

A full seafood experience with fresh crab cooked to order, crab pot rentals and bait and tackle. No fresher crab on the coast.

Luna Sea Fish House (Yachats)

Wild Pacific seafood restaurant and market, sourced by the owner’s boat. Good for all meals of the day.

Grand Central Pizza

Delicious pizza and famous mini ravioli bites. Cold beer on tap. Great for a family meal.

Alsea Bay

Calm bay water, perfect for paddleboarding, crabbing, and clamming. The Alsea Bay Bridge views are iconic.

We bought a broom and dust pan as well as Swiffer cleaning pads.We cleaned a ton of cobwebs off the outside entry way and sweptthe front porch area. We wished the front windows of the home had been cleaned as to enjoy the view and to take photo's etc.Other than those issues everything else was very clean.

The views are worth it all! The property could use TLC. The furniture was very stained and worn, but again you cannot beat the views. My family and I tried to leave the property even better than how it was left for us. I hope the next guest can rest assured that we wiped down some extra surfaces and got all the sand out. Overall our stay was good but with a slightly cleaner property it would have been excellent! I would still recommend.

Avari response:

Thank you, Amanda, for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re so glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed the stunning views—there’s truly nothing like them. We appreciate your efforts to leave the property in great shape for the next guests; that kind of care speaks volumes about your family.

We also want to acknowledge your feedback regarding the furniture and cleanliness. It’s important to us that every guest feels comfortable and at home, and we’re sorry to hear that we fell short in those areas during your stay. We’re committed to addressing these concerns and ensuring that our properties meet the high standards we strive for.

Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future. Thank you again for your valuable insights!

Comfortable stay with a view! Feeling like visiting a grandma's house!

The view is very nice. There were two shower baths which was very helpful for a big group. We were just two of us and there were plenty of rooms. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen every day. We got crab 🦀 and oysters 😋.

Downstair bedroom had musky smell. I wish the furniture arrangement in the living room was different.

Avari response:

Thank you, Yuri, for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear that you found the view delightful and enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, especially while cooking up some delicious crab and oysters. It sounds like you made the most of your time here, and we love that it felt like a visit to grandma's house.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback about the musky smell in the downstairs bedroom and the furniture arrangement in the living room. That shouldn't have happened, and we take your concerns seriously. We'll be sure to address these issues to ensure a more comfortable stay for future guests.

We hope you'll consider visiting us again. There’s always more to explore and enjoy in Waldport, and we’d love to welcome you back for another cozy getaway.
