August 2026

We had a great time! Overall, the house was great for our family. We cooked several times, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. We noticed a couple of negative things however. First, the house was overall clean, but the floors were pretty dirty. My kids feet were dirty after just walking around in the house. We just wore shoes inside after the first day because we couldn’t stand the feeling of dirty feet. Second, in the property description it says the public beach access is a 5-7 minute walk. That is not true. It’s a 15 minute walk. We have 3 little kids, so we ended up driving 8 minutes to Deer Lake State Park every day to go to the beach. I highly recommend that State Park! We had a great time there! I would recommend this property to someone, but be aware that the floors may be a little dirty and the walk to the public beach access is further than it says in the description.

Avari response:

Thank you, Emma, for sharing your experience with us. We’re thrilled to hear that you and your family had a great time and found the kitchen well-equipped for your cooking needs. It’s wonderful to know that the beds provided comfort for your stay.

We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issue you encountered with the floors. That shouldn’t have happened, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will ensure our cleaning team addresses this to maintain the high standards we strive for.

Regarding the beach access, we understand how important accurate information is, especially with little ones in tow. We appreciate your feedback and will review the description to ensure it reflects the experience more accurately.

We’re glad you discovered Deer Lake State Park and enjoyed your time there. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back for another stay in the future!
