Overview

Settle into a mountain cabin unlike any you've seen before! Rich colors, wood paneling, and golden art pieces (including a print of Gustav Klimt's The Kiss) add touches of luxury to a rustic space. Guests can relax at the table around a gas fireplace. It's easy to cook breakfast inside the full kitchen, which also includes a long wooden kitchen island that doubles as a breakfast bar. Enjoy in the living room or take it out to the balcony for some fresh air. When it's time to turn in, guests can rest in the bedroom (complete with privacy blinds), pull out the queen size sofa bed in the living room, or head up to the loft that is luxuriously outfitted with Tiffany-style lamps. Beach towels are provided so that guests can head to the lake as soon as they desire. This retreat will be ready to host the hot cocoa party when everyone returns. What's nearby: Lake Tahoe is just under two miles from the condo, perfect for guests who can't wait to get out onto the water.The Northstar California resort is just over six miles away, offering fun snow activities as well as golf, hiking, and a lift-serviced mountain bike path. Need a break from the more intense outdoor activities? Kings Beach Miniature Golf offers some light-hearted fun with two different courses. Guests that are curious about local history (or want an unconventional tour!) will appreciate the Watson Cabin Museum, just under 11 miles away. Walking distance to North Tahoe Truckee Regional Park with trails, pickleball, par course, giant kids playground, and even a high-ropes adventure course. Beaches and Safeway groceries seven minutes away, casinos 15 minutes. Didn’t get to try hot tub, and make sure you read all emails and texts regarding rental. Like others have said, the living room floor in front of the fireplace is buckled up probably due to the heat; hopefully they make simple repairs or throw an area rug over loose wood slats.

We loved how this apt felt like a cabin. Very cute and cozy. Kitchen is big with very clean kitchenware, refrigerator, microwave, etc. perfect with kids. Bathroom is also great. The only part we didn’t like is that the queen mattress was sagging on one side, and the bed was very noisy; it creaked a lot even when we barely moved. That was a bit annoying. Other than that everything was great. I would still give 5 stars and highly recommend it.

The aesthetic of the property and the quality of the linens were highly appreciated. The accommodations, including the bathtub and kitchen, were well-suited for relaxation and meal preparation. Given our daytime excursions, we recommend this location for its proximity to Kings Beach and various dining establishments.
