Outside, you'll find furnished decks, a gas grill, and an upper-level deck. This is an amazing home, perfect for the family or travel group seeking a classy, peaceful experience at Black Butte.

Black Butte Ranch offers 1,800 acres to explore, including over 18 miles of hiking and biking trails. You will have access to shared pools and hot tubs on the resort, including the South Meadow Pool located less than a mile away. Experience the two championship golf courses, play on the tennis courts, and do a little horseback riding. For shopping and additional activities, visit the charming town of Sisters just nine miles east. And when the snow is falling, the Hoodoo Ski Area is only 15 miles west.

We arrived pretty late at night and were a bit concerned about how dark it was an an off putting smell (like an air freshener or strong cleaning product) but after opening windows and when the sun came up the next morning we were so pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous, private, and peaceful the setting was. The house design is a bit unique but we enjoyed it—something memorable! The downstairs bedroom got a bit hot and stuffy with the thermostat in the main area that stays much cooler and no window to let any fresh air inside. We had an issue with the fireplace but management was so responsive. It ended up being a missing battery in the remote! Our family was pleasantly surprised, loved the outdoor games, and would return again!

This is a beautiful home and property for an amazing price - but you should come with some prep in mind. There is no washer dryer, which is pretty unusual for Black Butte - especially since you tend to spend so much time at the pool. There also aren’t any pool towels provided, which is really inconvenient if you aren’t prepared. Also come with all your basic pantry needs, even salt and pepper. If you prepare correctly, it’s a really great deal.

The house was really great for us. Awesome location and filled with lots of fun games in the garage. Two complaints were not enough towels to have extras for the pool (although the host came and delivered us extra upon request) and, the bigger issue, no blinds or curtains at all in the upstairs bedrooms. If those could be fixed this would be a 10/10 recommendation!

We love staying at Black Butte Ranch, it is quiet and peaceful. Overall great stay.
Just a few items:
-upstairs shower dial’s knob is broken and keeps falling off
-no curtains in the upstairs bedrooms so no privacy or shade from the morning sun
-the kitchen could use some organizing- some dishes were dirty in the cabinets as well
-they do not supply beach towels so if you are planning on using the pool, bring your own towels
-they seem to have an issue with drain flies. Specifically the upstairs bathroom.
-the house could use more mirrors with better lighting
