My husband and I recently had a very upsetting experience with a beach vacation rental that I feel others should be aware of.We traveled over eight hours, excited for a relaxing getaway. Before arriving, we were given a code and told the property was checked out, cleaned, and ready for us. However, when we got there, the reality was completely different.The rental was absolutely disgusting. There were dirty dishes left in the sink, trash scattered throughout the space, and a strong odor that smelled like a wet dog. Even worse, there were personal belongings from previous occupants still inside, along with what appeared to be drugs as well as alcohol bottles. It felt unsafe and completely unacceptable.After such a long trip, this was incredibly frustrating and stressful. We immediately tried to contact the hosts, but more than 48 hours later, we still had not heard back from them despite being told someone would reach out. We were left with no place to stay and no clear solution or refu
