Our first day there was shot because the low battery beep for the smoke detector started at 12:30am (after driving all day and getting in bed at 11:30) . No extra batteries in the condo and the nearest open store was 22 miles away. So, it wasn't resolved until after 2 am. Turns out it was the carbon monoxide detector which just needed to be unplugged AND there are no gas appliances, so why is it needed?!?!

The living room and master bedroom both had one window covering missing (floor to ceiling windows). This made hard to get any sleep when the sun came up and made the bedroom feel very open to viewing from the outside.

We did like the location and that there were beds for everyone in the family. All the other furniture was comfortable. We did like that there were beach chairs, an umbrella, and wagon available.

We've traveled to Fort Morgan (the Dunes community) for the past 6 years and it's our favorite vacation destination. We've stayed in the Indies twice, Dunes once and gotten a house on the other visits. This was a nice condo that met our expectations. Had an issue with the HVAC upon our arrival and Vacasa was quick to respond to the issue. They could use another skillet or two, but otherwise have everything you need is you're looking to do your cooking there. Fantastic views and the walk to the beach is about 5 minutes - you can also drive a little closer and park by the boardwalk if you're hauling a lot to the beach. Beaches are never crowded, even during peak season - perfect location if you're looking to get away from the crowds. The pool, hot tub and upper deck were closed the first 3 days of our 5 day visit - it would have been nice to have been informed of that in advance. Beds were very comfortable and the balcony furniture was great - this is important because you'll want to spend all of your time on the balcony. Make sure you get to the beach to experience at least one sunrise during your stay. I would definitely return to this unit.
