Overview

Whether you are planning your next family escapade or a truly memorable trip with your group of best friends, this magnificent five-bedroom home overlooking the mighty Pacific Ocean is definitely your best option! The location is simply out of this world - sandy beaches are just outside and around the corner, while Cannon Beach and Seaside are just eight and 15 miles up the road, respectively. There is a non-profit protected nature reserve area behind the house, and the home blends in to be minimally intrusive to the wildlife.

The main entryway leads you straight to the captivating main level, which features a light-flooded living room with river rock, floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace, comfortable seating, and ample windows offering unparalleled views of the glorious Pacific Ocean. Sliders will take you to a beautiful beachfront deck where you can spend entertaining evenings watching the ocean, birds coming and going, or deer and elk wandering through. This is a great spot for alfresco dining also and feel free to use the seasonal propane grill for warm-weather barbecues. Back inside, the kitchen has been completely appointed with every appliance needed to whip up delicious homemade meals - there is also a wet bar in case you would like to show off your bartending skills and surprise your guests with tasty cocktails.

Off the living room is a great room that converts into the additional primary suite. You can gather here by day to catch a football game on the TV, or watch a movie in the evening. This suite has an en suite bathroom, a designated sitting room with a smart TV, plenty of books and board games, and incredible views of the Pacific Ocean.

Downstairs, you will find three additional bedrooms and a bathroom. A door leads to the house's dedicated game room (converted from the garage). Two foosball tables, an air hockey table, and another smart TV will provide plenty of entertainment, and a door leading to the bottom floor deck overlooking the scenic Pacific Ocean awaits!

Avari was very responsive whether the query was about a minor matter, e.g., the type of coffee pot, or more important, e.g., an early check out. We would definitely use a property managed by Avari in the future.

The location of this home is hard to beat and was the highlight of our stay. It provided easy access to everything we wanted to do, which made our vacation very enjoyable. That said, the home itself was disappointing given the price. It is extremely dated and appears to have had very few updates over the years. Many of the doors were difficult to open and close, and several aspects of the house felt worn. We also noticed that in some rooms the linens felt damp, which made them seem less fresh than expected. If you’re primarily looking for a great location and don’t mind older accommodations, this property may work for you. However, based on the premium price, we expected a much higher standard of comfort and maintenance. With some updates and better attention to upkeep, this could be an outstanding rental.

Avari response:

Thank you, Rebecca, for sharing your thoughts about your stay with us. We’re thrilled to hear that the location was a highlight for you and that it made your vacation enjoyable. However, we genuinely appreciate your feedback regarding the home itself.

It’s clear that we fell short in some areas, and we take that to heart. The issues you mentioned, like the dated features and the linens, are not the standard we aim for. We’re committed to providing a comfortable and well-maintained environment, and your insights will help us improve.

We’re actively working on updates and maintenance to ensure our guests have the best experience possible. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future, as we’d love to show you the improvements we’re making. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

Nice space for beach get away. Beautiful view. Great walk to the beach and great beach to explore.
Comfortable furniture and beds.
Rustic, full of character, eclectic.
Some quirks, like sticking slider door and fussy locks.

2 bdrms were nice, other 3 ok. Outdated, needs LOTS of updating. Point of having a deck to ocean is to be on the deck but glass door was stuck. Many outlets didn’t work or were taped off. Bulbs burned out/missing. Wi-Fi only worked upstairs, not bottom floor. No wine glasses, they said they had them. When we arrived found towels on the bottom floor soaked. Obvious housekeeping knew of a water leak. Mgmt allowed us to check in. Unacceptable. Sent message on Airbnb. Sent pics and got response saying that they would send out a tech 1st thing in AM. Water leak got worse. Used all beach towels in house to soak it up. By AM was a disaster scene. Called Co. they knew nothing about the issue. Tech not there til 12:45pm. Leak now out of control, pipe burst in the wall. Water to house turned off, had to vacate. Vacasa told us they had 1 other home for 8 people. 3 narrow story house for our elderly group! Had to find a new place on our own during spring break w/8 ppl from out of state & country.

The home was accommodating but we missed a few amenities in the kitchen area, wine glasses, mixer and casserole dishes. The home had lots of character and charm with wood craftmanship which we appreciated. The beach access was a little challenging for older individuals to manage the rock berm. Overall, the home was very accommodating, and we would rent it again.
