Fantastic condo with elevator, WiFi & central AC - beachfront Location

This place would be perfect and I would rent every time we came down if they would just update it. The AC needs to be updated cause it didn’t work good and we had to keep the slider doors open to get cool. Doors fall off, pots and pans are dirty and very warped, furniture is old, fan blades hang as low as the light bulbs and make noises, the ice maker didn’t work. Great location and space but very, very old. One closet door was just leaning against the frame while another fell off if you slightly touched it. The AC controls are straight out of the 70s/80s and the unit itself looked just as old. There looked to be mold in window above sink. It has potential to be wonderful but I don’t see us going back there until some changes are made to make it better.

My name is Sally Porter. I recently made a reservation for one of the condos at Seaside Beach and Racquet Club in Orange Beach, Alabama. The check in date was Sunday 4/12/26 at 4pm. The condo unit number was 3806.

I received the entry code to the condo prior to arrival. I arrived with my husband and granddaughter a little before 4pm. Upon arrival we unloaded our vehicle and took our things to the 8th floor where our unit was located, only to discover the unit locked with a non-working code lock.

After multiple attempts to unlock the door with the code provided, I called the number given for assistance. While on the phone with the representative, we tried multiple times unsuccessfully to unlock the unit. The representative then placed a call to maintenance. When the maintenance technician arrived he was unable to unlock the unit.

The representative on the phone then placed a call to a locksmith. The rep suggested we take our things back down and place them in our vehicle and grab a snack. We loaded our things back in our vehicle.

Sometime later the locksmith arrived and was able to gain entry into the unit. When the locksmith and I went inside the unit, we discovered the unit had not been cleaned at all and was not ready.

The locksmith had to change the lock out. While he was waiting on instructions from the management staff, I was waiting on them to tell me what they were going to do about the situation.

The management representative told me they could not get housekeeping there to clean the unit and began searching for another unit that would meet our needs and original requests.

After waiting for over 3 hours past the original check in time of 4pm, we were finally placed in another unit on the 9th floor. The new unit number was 4907. We then had to unload our vehicle for the second time.
